10 Board Books with Photos of Baby Faces
It’s true what they say. Babies just love to look at other babies! That’s why I’m compiling a list of the 10 board books with photos of baby faces.
I have found that they are more drawn to actual photos of babies rather than illustrations. There’s just something about it that holds their attention and gets them babbling and interacting. It’s almost like they they’re discovering a new friend looking back at them from the pages of the book!
These types of books geared towards babies usually have only a small amount of text/story or even none at all. While at first it can seem strange to “read” a book with only pictures, you’ll soon find there are dozens of ways to read and explore these books together.
Using Books to Increase Vocabulary
Some of my favourite ways to read these types of books is to go through labelling body parts (nose, hair, eyes), pointing out objects or colours and naming emotions (happy, sad, mad). The best part is, you can do something different each time you read the book.
Here is a list of my favourite board books featuring pictures of real babies.
